  I've been looking at Matthew 7 and reflecting on asking, seeking and knocking. Those who ask shall recieve, those who seek shall find and to whoever knocks the door shall be opened. But what is it that we should be seeking? If you look earlier in the book of Matthew, chapter 6, it tells us "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."   ASK. SEEK. KNOCK. 3 loving invitations from our Lord Jesus. The bible tells us in Matthew 7:7-8  “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." God delights in answering our prayers so ask in faith and be assured of receiving all that God has promised us in His Word! #MondayMeditations

  I love my church. I love the sound of my brothers and sisters in Christ raising their voices together in worship. On Sunday our voices raised together to sing this Hymn of praise.   On a day where the country is celebrating love I thought it might be wise to look at what true love is. I admit to failing in every aspect but the beauty of the gospel is that it doesn't end with my failures. God's perfect love covers all my failures, and I pray His love will shine through me. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."   The expression "Hitting rock bottom" is one we often use when we feel we're at our worst. Sometimes hitting rock bottom is what it takes for us to find the Rock on which we can stand. Christ is that rock. He is our firm foundation and the One in whom we can find strength.
